529 California College Plans: not just for CA.
Many a state these days has its own particular versions of the 529 California College Plan . The “529” refers to the code site within Title 26 of the Code Of Federal Regulations. But each state within the union can pretty much come up with their own 529 rules, as long as they stay within the federal guidelines.
Just such a state’s plan is the 529 Savings Network in Oregon. This is a list of college plans authorized and created by the government of Oregon. It was set up to help its people of residence save for their future college education in Oregon, and that of their children.
