Wind Power Generation
Smaller and larger wind turbines are used for wind power generation. The wind blows and the turbine converts it into electricity. Wind energy is a form of solar energy and is renewable and always available. If on a grid, your power will come from your local utility company. When there is more than enough power produced than a household needs, many times utility companies buy back the unused energy, called “net metering”. If you choose not to hook the turbine up to a power grid, back up arrangements such as batteries should be in place on days where the wind is quiet.
