Sometimes compact is best — sometimes not
When it comes to travel caravans, for some people the best choice is a compact model — which is about 20 feet or less in length. But while these make a good choice for some people, for others they are not good at all. For example, these compact models are impractical for larger families, who would have a hard time moving around in them. They would also be impractical for those who found it necessary to bring a lot of personal effects like clothing or electronic gear with them — there would simply not be enough space to hold all of that stuff.
