Board games are a good family activity because they encourage interaction between family members as opposed to staring a “the tube”. Board games help increase or maintain math and logic skills. Some of our favorite games to play are Monopoly (with various versions available), Yahtzee, Scattergories, Risk, Uno,bottle tree spirits and Scrabble. Games also increase vocabulary and communication skills. There are too many things that keep families apart, so it is always good to find activities that encourage time spent together. Take some time soon to have a board game night with your family (or friends) in the near future. You will be glad that you did.
