New to camping?
If you are new to camping and want to purchase a camping unit that is reasonable and won’t put you thousands of dollars in debt, look for a used popup camper. A used popup camper in reasonably good shape can cost as little as $500, which isn’t a whole lot more than a good quality family size tent.
Why not just get tent? With a popup camper, you get beds that are off the ground, a stove (sometimes both an indoor and outdoor one), sink, seating, dining area, and storage. Plus, it provides much better protection from the wind and rain than tents do.
Just keep in mind that you will need a vehicle that is capable of towing the camper. If you have a SUV, small truck, or a mini-van, you shouldn’t have any problems but always check your vehicle’s towing capacity to be sure.
