My Son Has Special Needs
My son was diagnosed with ADHD when he was in the third grade. He also has a behavioral disorder and it can be quite challenging. The hardest part is dealing with the school system. So many teachers do not deal well with special needs children. I am trying to change this. I have joined a parent group and we are trying to educate both teachers and parents about various adhd symptoms and positive ways to deal with these children that are affected. It can be frustrating for both my son and I when dealing with a teacher who just has no clue of how to deal with him. I hope to better educate teachers about special needs.
