A career in medical coding is an opportunity in a growing industry
I have always enjoyed working with people in the health related field. When I first started out I worked in a medical practice assisting the local doctor to keep his records and administrative procedures in order. I then decided to pursue a career in medical coding. Once you have completed the relevant course there are a lot of different positions that require your skills. In my case, I worked full time for several years before embarking on contract work. This allowed me to travel and meet new people. When I finally returned to my home town I decided to open up my own coding practice and to establish an outsourcing company.
