Taekwondo Tournament

Wednesday, October 14th, 2009

Over the years I have been in many taekwondo tournaments. Usually there is a tournament held once a year in Florida. In the past, I have spent a lot of money on hotels but this past year I was determined to find a great deal. I looked at many online websites and then I finally decided on Miami short term rentals. When I got to Miami and saw the place I would be staying, I was floored! This place was 10 times nicer than any hotel I had stayed in during any previous year and it was half the price. What a great deal!

The Makings Of an Authentic Taste

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

If you are eating a true Pollo Saltado then there will probably be soy sauce used along with vinegar of some kind in addition to the citrus juice. Depending on the chef, it is not unheard of for a small amount of Peruvian pisco to be poured over the meat and vegetables as they simmer and then ignited! All of this wonderful mingling of meat, vegetable, pepper and sauce is added either on top of or beside rice. The rice is an integral part of the dish. Rice insures that none of the magnificent flavors are left to waste, as it absorbs the juice. You are definitely in for a flavorful treat each time you order this dish!

Haifa on a Budget

Sunday, October 11th, 2009

I never thought I’d be able to look for a budget hotel in Haifa. I thought of the city as pretty high end, being Israel’s third largest city. Fortunately for me, though, I found three hotels with cheap nightly rates that I can choose from – Port Inn, Rutenberg Institute and Haddad’s Guest House. As soon as I get this accommodation thing done, I’ll be off looking for a good place to eat that comes with a reasonable price tag. I heard that Central Mount Carmel offers a wide range of selection of restaurant and cafes. I hope I find something I can afford.

Cheap hotels make for a great Halloween getaway to Disneyland Paris

Friday, October 9th, 2009

Spooky sights and wizardly wonders are in store this October at Disneyland Paris. The famous adventure park, only a short journey from the French capital, is throwing a very special party in honour of Halloween. Mickey will be joined by his friends and all the Disney villains for a celebration of wizardly proportions. You’re sure to have a devilishly good time and there are plenty of options if you wish to crash in one of the area’s cheap hotels and make a full weekend out of the bewitching break. With plenty of rides, shows and especially spooky attractions, it’s a great getaway that the entire family will no doubt enjoy.

Learning About the Six Different Types of Travel Insurance

Thursday, October 8th, 2009

I always thought there was only one type of travel insurance. I knew you could buy insurance in case you have to cancel a trip at the last minute. The insurance you purchase would reimburse you for either all or a portion of the money you spent on your trip. That was until I came across a series of travel insurance articles. The article series talked about understanding the different types of travel insurance on the market today. There are six different types of insurance coverage available to travelers today. Before you purchase travel insurance, you will want to make sure you do your research and purchase the correct insurance plan for you.

More cheap airline tricks coming

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

And in this case by “cheap” I don’t mean discounted or thrifty, I mean “dirty”. I’ve spent the last few years giving my loyalty to USAirways, flying them when it was less convenient than another airline, sometimes even when it was slightly more expensive.  All this to build up frequent flier miles in hopes of a free ticket down the road. Well, the cheap airline tricks keep coming. They already charge me for checking luggage, but now I actually have to pay a fee to redeem my miles. Not some short-notice or other “extra normal” booking arrangement, but to redeem them at all!  How does that make my ticket free?

Unique Belize

Monday, October 5th, 2009

I was looking to make some vacation arrangements when I look through some brochures regarding Belize vacation packages. I was amazed at the many different ways I could experience my vacation.  I have always been interested in seeing the Mayan ruins and there it was in Belize, just waiting for me.  I proceed to make my reservation and on my arrival in Belize  I just fell in love with the country.  It has something for everyone. I climbed the ancient ruins and while and looked down at the jungle all around. It was breathtaking. There are so many different things to do in Belize, I plan on returning and this time visit the jaguar reserve.

You Deserve Your Dream Vacation

Saturday, October 3rd, 2009

When I started looking into ideas for my next vacation destination, the Miraflores hotels really stood out. They were some of the prettiest hotels I found and I could not stop fantasizing about my dream vacation there. At first, I dismissed my dream as far beyond my reach, but then I thought that there was really no reason I could not go. Of course, I would have to cut way back on my spending, but surely I could forgo the occasional night out for the sake of an amazing vacation. Saving money was hard, but it wasn’t as hard as I thought it was going to be and it was worth it.

Not to be missed meeting.

Monday, September 28th, 2009

My friends were kind enough to drive me from Nelson over to Picton to get the car I had rented through car hire picton. From there it was going to be a long drive down the East coast. I was heading for Christchurch, which is a very long drive. I had to get down there that night to be ready for an early morning meeting with the regional Rugby board. I had been waiting a long time for this meeting so there was no way I was going to chance missing it. If all went well I would get a spot on the team down there.

Jewish Travel for the Holidays

Saturday, September 19th, 2009

It’s truly amazing how travel and tours companies have incorporated Jewish beliefs, customs and traditions to the various Jewish travel opportunities that they offer. I give them the two thumbs up for having thought out the tours thoroughly in strict consideration of traditional Jewish obligations. Naturally, humans tend to go off on a vacation during holidays – even on holy days. That sometimes compromises their religious obligations. But with Jewish travel, the tours made sure that no Jew would have to skip and neglect his or her obligations to the faith. In fact, there are specific travel opportunities available today during Rosh Hashana and Passover, to name some.
