My son is turning twenty-five years old this weekend. He finally finished college last August, after six years, and has actually landed a job in New York City. My husband and I are hoping this means the end of us dishing out money, and perhaps the beginning of us getting a little.  At the very least, it should mean decent Christmas gifts right? The last gift I got from my, oh so loving son, was a set of oven mitts.  In return that year my husband and I ponied up for a motor scooter. Those off road scooters do not come cheap! 

Amazing how we spoil our kids, and then wonder why it took them six years to finish a Bachelors in Liberal Arts. Well, God willing, that period in our life of opening our wallets left, right and center, is over.  Now it’s time for me to get my nails done and plan that cruise I always wanted. Jake, you’re not reading this, are you sweetie?
