The Comfort of the Barcelona Chair

Wednesday, February 27th, 2008

One of the iconic examples of modern furniture has got to be the Barcelona Chair. The Barcelona Chair was designed in 1929 by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich. The chair was designed and used during the Barcelona Fair as part of the German Pavilion. The Barcelona chair is also the most comfortable chair in our home. My husband and I have been slowly replacing our tradition furniture pieces for modern pieces. When we went to the furniture store we both fell in love with the comfort and style of the Barcelona chair. We bought a matching pair of Barcelona Chairs and ottomans so we wouldn’t have to fight about who gets it!

Local or Imported Supplements?

Wednesday, February 27th, 2008

For years Australia has lacked in the supplements industry with poor growth in new product variations compared to overseas due to the high cost of research and development. In the 60′s the Australian supplement market was in its peak but began to decline most heavily in the 80′s. One of the few remaining supplement brands still developed in Australia is Redbak which is mainly a protein and carbohydrates supplier. To this date distribution overseas isn’t huge but a large number of local suppliers and online supplement stores have picked up the brand. Since the beginning of the 2000′s supplement buyers have begun to place a higher emphasis on quality rather than price due to such a large number of cheap imported low potency brands flooding the market. This has resulted in an increase in local manufacturers and the gross volume of local Australian supplements has again begun to rise.

How does a portable infrared sauna work

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

Saunas usually known to be at local health clubs and spas are now available in your own home. How ever erase that cedar room interior from your mind because these look a lot different. While the concept of heat producing a relaxing sweating effect remains the same the process and appearance does not.

A portable infrared sauna is a small tent like structure which has a zipper in the front to enter and exit from and a small hole in the top for your head. Inside the sauna heater emits infrared rays and warms the interior. Tried Any Herbs For A Kidney Cleanse Lately?

Monday, February 25th, 2008

Have you ever gone on a kidney cleanse? I can’t say I have, although I find the concept intriguing. I mean, I’ve heard of liver cleanses, and bowel cleanses – but the kidneys? Well, it seems some people really like squeaky clean kidneys, and I can’t say I blame them. When you think about it, our kidneys have to filter out a lot of waste. And they’re pretty busy little organs. I guess it makes sense to give them a break now and then. And a kidney cleanse is cheaper than staying at the Marriott.

There are vitamins and herbs for a kidney cleanse. You can buy specially made up products, that contain a mixture of the best ones, or you can get the individual supplements or herbal teas and make up your own. The specialty products don’t tend to be cheap, but I guess if you add up buying all those things individually, you save in the long run.
